Bermudagrass encroachment control

Bermudagrass encroachment control

Most golf courses in south Europe and around the Mediterranean are bermudagrass tees, fairways and roughs and creeping bentgrass greens. Encroachment of the bermudagrass into the creeping bentgrass is often the number one issue for those golf courses.

In order to control the encroachment, regular edging is one of the maintenance practices that must be implemented.

Perfectly installed interface barrier as well as other practices have to be used to provide long term control and maintained green surfaces, free of bermudagrass.

Not easy, but it can be done.

At Turfgrass Agronomy & Services we have hands-on experience in dealing with encroachment and are currently implementing strict programs with several clients.
